About This Report
The report collates a variety of metrics and – taken together – provide a unique and up-tothe minute read on the state of the tourism industry in RTO 12. Tourism is a vital part of the region’s economy, and accounts for almost 10% of its GDP, and 13% of its total employment. This report is provided as a service to our operators and other stakeholders and is intended to give insight into the general health of the industry.
As part of its 2017-2018 Business & Operational Plan, Explorers’ Edge has undertaken the development of a 3-Year Product Development Strategy, which will in turn inform the Board’s creation of a new 3-Year Destination Development Plan later this fall.
An estimated 100 million Millennials are currently entering the workforce, making up the largest generation of our time, yet businesses have a difficult time recruiting, retaining and motivating them. Is your organization prepared?
These three free workshops are open to everyone, but is of particular interest to accommodations, food services, attractions, breweries, wineries, business areas and cycling-related businesses and organizations interested in the development of cycle tourism in the region.
